Groomology’s “on the day” action plan for the groom that can’t wait to party with his wife!
Start your day like this. Rise and Shine:
Walk everyone in the neighbourhood up with your favourite tunes blasted through the house.
Head out to a local café for breakfast so you don’t have to clean up the mess.
Get your shit together:
Check your suit, shoes and accessories early just in case you need something from the shops at the last minute. Take a moment to check that your groomsmen have everything as well.
We all have that one mate that is sure to forget something important on the day.
Shower & Shave:
If you have time head out to your barbershop for a fresh cut and shave.
Nothing worse than showing up to your wedding ceremony with bits of tissue stuck to your face.
Be romantic:
Send your gorgeous bride a little gift (think perfume) with a note, letting her know that you can’t wait to see her at the end of the aisle.
Tip – Organise for one of your friends or family member to deliver it as a surprise on the day.
Team Groom:
Spend some quality time with the boys – surfing, golf or maybe just simply lazing around at home cooking a BBQ lunch and swimming in the pool. These activities make for great memories and will help keep the nerves at bay.
Just remember to wear sunscreen and stay hydrated…. oh and only a few beers.
Suit up:
Pack your vows, wedding speech, the rings and the hotel key for your bridal accommodation.
Tip – if it is going to be a super-hot day pack some deodorant and a fresh shirt for the reception.
Welcome guests:
Arrive at the Ceremony site approximately 30min before your ceremony time. No need to be there too early unless your photographer needs you for photos,
Tip – ask your mum to attach your buttonhole. This makes for a great photo.
Take your position:
Set the vibe from the get go and have your own walk down the aisle song, think Top Guns’ Danger zone or Pharrell’s Happy.
Get Married:
Take a deep breath and get ready to celebrate the best wedding ever! Surrounded by your family and friends. This is the moment you have both been waiting for.
